10 Interesting UX Findings

Every year, Human Factors International publishes a culmination of UX findings from the previous year. I've culled ten interesting UX findings from the past three years. 1. On average, testing 10 participants in a usability test results in capturing 80% of the issues. If you test only 5, the range of issues captured can range as high as 85% to as low as 55%, depending on the participant group.

Service Center Desktop is an essential resource to the Contact Center of Allstate Insurance. The goal of this redesign was to expedite the retrieval of information in order to assist Allstate agents more quickly.

The goal of this open source initiative was to provide a platform for students and educators to showcase their work to potential employers or graduate universities. We led the information architecture and interaction design efforts.

Inventory System

DePaul University required an application to facilitate the check-in/check-out of equipment from the university. We validated our designs by conducting usability tests with faculty and students.

Site for Non-Profit Organization

This site was designed for "Hey U.G.L.Y", a non-profit organization that aims to assist adolescents in maintaining a positive self-image. We employed a user-centered strategy to design our solution.
